Facilitate marketing and communication requests for graduate programs within Mays Business School.
Act as primary contact for all marketing and communication needs for Mays Business School’s 4+1 and PhD programs.
Evolve and maintain brand strategies for each program.
Act as liaison and point of communication for marketing needs, proactively understanding program changes and upcoming events and initiatives.
Works on requests to assess needs, create a plan, communicate with relevant internal and external team members, assign internal resources, communicate updates and changes, manage process workflows, meet deadlines, and evaluate project success post launch.
Projects include, but are not limited to, refreshing old promotional material for each graduate program, assisting with swag design and selection, program social media content, building email marketing campaigns, assisting with recruitment drip campaign messaging, managing website content and photo asset rewrites/refreshes, photo asset expansion, event communication and support, and social media advertising content coordination.
Operate and understand the Mays Business School project management platform.
Coordinate photo and video shoots when needed for graduate campaigns and Mays initiatives.
Create, launch and manage email campaigns in various email marketing platforms, make website updates in WordPress, assist with social media content and campaigns on unit-specific social platforms, launch and monitor campaign performance.
Assist with ad hoc advertising efforts with local digital marketing companies such as TxAgs and Texas Young Professionals.
Collaborate with program teams for content creation for recruitment email drip campaigns.
Write and edit copy for storytelling, promotional material, brand strategies, social media posts, email campaigns, website updates, and brochures for graduate program initiatives within Mays Business School.
Become an expert on each graduate program, understanding their program details and differentiators.
Research best practices to help maintain efficiencies.
Keep abreast of industry advancements and learning opportunities.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field.
Two years of related experience in communications, digital marketing or marketing field.
Note: a related master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of experience.
3-5 years of experience working as a communications coordinator, communications specialist, project manager or similar role on a marketing team.
Experience working with or for digital advertising.
Strong project management skills with demonstrated experience across a broad array of marketing channels.
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders.
Ability to communicate complex ideas and expectations between internal and external stakeholders.
Comfortable working within project management software (ClickUp, Monday, MS Project, Teamwork).
Ability to work as a motivated self-starter and bring fresh ideas, individual voice and enthusiasm to the team.
Ability to communicate ideas and concepts clearly and effectively with strong interpersonal and organizations skills.
Proven ability to work in email marketing, promotion materials, writing, social media management, web content management, and brand management.
Exceptional time management skills with the ability to effectively plan and execute short and long-term projects that make efficient use of resources, meet deadlines, achieve objectives and maintain morale among staff through the process.
