      In Kansas City, Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) manages and operates the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration's (NNSA) Kansas City National Security Campus.This state-of-the-art engineering, manufacturing, and sourcing facility produces a wide array of intricate components to deliver trusted national security products and government services primarily for the NNSA.Honeywell FM&T's culture of integrity, commitment and continuous improvement enables them to deliver responsive, collaborative, and innovative management and technology services and products that translate into cutting edge solutions to complex national security issues.

      Summary:

      This individual will be responsible for communications and planning in support of ISC Leadership and organization priorities for Honeywell FM&T, a contractor for the Kansas City National Security Campus (KCNSC), in Kansas City and New Mexico. The Communications Specialist for ISC reports to the Communications Manager for ISC and is responsible executing and coordinating effective employee engagement programs through integrated communications planning, content development and event planning.

      • Translates program priorities and departmental goals into communications of various formats: articles, power point presentations, event collateral, etc.
      • Develop, edit, and deliver content that includes, but is not limited to, fact sheets, brochures, talking points and presentations to inform customers, employees, and other audiences about ISC
      • Coordinate events, such as town halls, employee recognition activities and supplier briefings with detailed logistics
      • Project oversight to conceptualize, write, edit, and deliver video content, photography, infographics, and social media in close coordination with other communications team members
      • Identify solutions to measure the direct and indirect impact of communication activities. Tracks results of programs and events.
      • Create and review materials for copy editing and adherence to corporate branding and style standards
      • Analyzes, measures, provides metrics on strategies based upon surveys and informal feedback.

      You Must Have:
      • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, PR, Marketing, or related field is required
      • Minimum 1 year of experience with Associated Press writing style required
      • U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain U.S. Department of Energy "Q" level security clearance

      We Value:
      • Minimum 1 year of related experience in a manufacturing requirement preferred
      • Minimum 1 year of experience in an internal/external communications, agency or news organization role preferred
      • Highly effective writing style with expertise in simplifying concepts and messages for a broad audience
      • Highly organized, highly detail oriented with outstanding focus on perfection in execution
      • Excellent oral and written communications and editorial skills with communications and project management experience
      • Proficient writing and editing skills with understanding of Associated Press Stylebook
      • Understanding and ability to interface with websites, social media tools and other technologies, with a broad understanding of the principles of marketing
      • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
      • Experience in event planning and execution
      • Customer service
