What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop, write, and edit content for various platforms, including news releases and articles, to promote the university
- Post and publish news content on the university's website and coordinate student news submissions
- Edit and oversee production of internal communications, ensuring consistency and cohesion
- Monitor the effectiveness of communication campaigns and provide project management support
- Communicate with stakeholders to verify requests and identify editorial resources
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of two years of professional experience in the communications field
- Demonstrated competency in writing, editing, and proofreading, with knowledge of AP style
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and collaborate with professionals on written content
- Experience in managing and prioritizing multiple projects efficiently

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure successful project outcomes
- Skills in assessing and responding to various issues in a timely manner
- Creativity in developing original content that aligns with university goals
- Familiarity with software platforms commonly used in communications, including CMS
