What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop, write, and edit content such as news releases and articles to promote university programs and achievements
- Post and publish news content on the university website and coordinate with external media
- Edit and oversee the production of internal publications and manage communication consistency
- Monitor the effectiveness of communication campaigns and provide project management for initiatives
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather information and verify requests for communication materials
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of two years of professional experience in the communications field
- Proficiency in writing, editing, and proofreading, with knowledge of AP style
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects effectively
- Experience in collaborating with professionals to create content for diverse audiences
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Demonstrated ability to develop original content that aligns with university goals
- Knowledge of software platforms commonly used in the communications field, including CMS
- Experience composing, shooting, and editing quality photos to accompany written content
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to prioritize projects
