- Advance the State Farm brand through leading public relations and communications practices on topics important to State Farm and its stakeholders - with the media and consumers.
- Contribute to a team that works with every part of the organization and supports enterprise priorities through communications.

- Work with key partners inside and outside of Corporate Communications on business decisions, consultation, and strategy.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to business partners on leading communications and public relations practices.
- Leverage current and emerging processes, technologies, and trends to improve communications.
- Anticipate issues and topics that may impact State Farm through listening, monitoring, research, and collaboration.
- Coordinate strategies, collaboration, and responses to current or potential topics.
- Leverage leading communications and reputation management practices to mitigate or recover from reputational situations.
- Analyze complex situations for reporting, analysis, and strategic insights.
- Work with external stakeholders as appropriate, including serving as a company spokesperson with the media.
- Directly develop or influence strategy and messaging.
- Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Crisis Management, or related fields.
- At least five years of experience in communications, journalism, public relations, media, or related background as this is not an entry level position.
- Effective communicator (verbal and written).
- Knowledge of current and emerging technologies and trends relevant to media relations, public relations, communications, crisis management, audience insights, and issues/topics facing our industry and organization.
- Is interested in growing their career in Corporate Communications and State Farm.
- Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Crisis Management, or related fields.
- At least five years of experience in communications, journalism, public relations, media, or related background as this is not an entry level position.
- Effective communicator (verbal and written).

Starting Salary is $75,000 - $96,000 annually. Because work-life-balance is a priority at State Farm, compensation is based on our standard 38:45-hour work week! Salary offered is dependent on skills and qualifications, with the high end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience.
