Thought leadership: sharing and exchanging knowledge and insights on pertinent issues on the nature and climate agenda.
New partnerships through communities of purpose and action: bringing together stakeholders and champions of the nature and climate agenda.
Programmes to accelerate regional nature and climate action: supporting curation and community building.
Support the Senior Engagement Lead in the GAEA team, working in partnership with the IST team and other Forum colleagues, to deliver the vehicle needed to catalyse an ecosystem of public and private leaders in Hong Kong, focusing to address the climate and nature crisis and building a more resilient and sustainable future.
Contribute to the design, development and delivery of the annual summit in Hong Kong, alongside other GAEA-related events and programming in the region.
Support Forum flagship events (e.g. Annual Meeting in Davos, Sustainable Development Impact Summit in New York and Annual Meeting of the New Champions in China) and other international climate dialogues (e.g. COP).
Carry out various event management to ensure smooth running of the annual summit in Hong Kong. Support fulfilment of internal processes and tracking through internal CRM (Salesforce) and event management system (Toplink).
Support community building of critical PPP (public-private-philanthropic) actors in Hong Kong and the neighbouring region. Delivers against a solid value proposal for engagement.
Help cultivating a collaborative spirit towards co-creation of an effective Public-Private-Philanthropy partnership (PPPP) framework amongst targeted communities.
Provide timely updates to the Forum’s Chinese office and the Strategic PPP Partnerships team in Geneva about PPPPs development in the territory.
Deliver all administrative tasks required for a successful delivery of the programme.
Coordinate input from the team to ensure full compliance of institutional requirements in a timely manner.
In-charge of engagement data input (in Salesforce) to keep track of stakeholder engagement quality.
Experience in contributing to international programming of events, track-record in event planning and logistics to achieve a purpose.
Experience in working with different stakeholders across different teams and geographies to keep everybody on track on key deliverables and products.
Exposures in building public-private (possibly philanthropic) partnership for different sustainability agenda.
Broad intellectual background, with an advanced degree from a globally recognized institution.
3-5 years’ relevant full-time professional experience, ideally across public and private sectors and/or in management consulting or project management.
Exposure in public-private partnership from business, governments, or international organizations, and passion for delivering climate & nature solutions.
Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills in English. China or other Asian language a plus. Experience in communications to top executives and senior stakeholders is a definitive advantage.
Exceptional organizational skills, with a clear ability to prioritize and a strong work ethic, as well as the capacity to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously.
Interest in sustainability and environmental issues, technology, energy, innovation and climate finance. Experience around climate and nature issues in Asia is a plus.
Experience in project and stakeholder management, designing of reports and core project deliverables.

The World Economic Forum’s Centre for Nature and Climate (CNC) is setting up a new agenda to develop thought and action leadership in philanthropy, with the aim to catalyse impact at speed and scale through multi-stakeholder collaboration to achieve critical goals across the climate and nature agenda.
The global initiative Giving to Amplify Earth Action (GAEA) aims to build successful philanthropic-public-private collaborations across climate and nature, through three levers of activity:
A strategic partnership has been formed between CNC and the Institute of Sustainability and Technology (IST), to scale and accelerate innovations for climate and nature in Asia. This newly formed partnership will seek to (1) build insights, intelligence and highlight gaps and opportunities; (2) design communities of impact to foster dialogues, learnings and incubate partnerships to elevate Asian solutions in tackling global challenges; and (3) culminate in a global annual summit which highlights the achievements, innovations in climate and nature, and demonstrate Asian leadership globally. These activities will culminate in a global summit with a focus on nature and climate, technology and innovation to be held in Hong Kong once a year.
Reporting Lines & Interactions
This position will be based out of the Forum’s Geneva office, joining the strategic PPP Partnerships team within the CNC. Interactions with a broad range of Forum colleagues and external stakeholders, including philanthropic organizations, companies, governments, research institutions and civil society organizations at senior levels is an integral part for the role.
This position will report to Yvonne Leung, Global Strategic Engagement Lead of GAEA. This person will also be closely in contact with the IST team based in Hong Kong.
