- Nursing degree or equivalent, Dip OT, Clinical Psychology or equivalent

Mental Health Nurse for Adult Eating Disorder Services

Having just won the 2024 'Clinical team of the year award' and been finalists at the National GP awards for 'Community Mental Health improvement' the Team are excited to offer you the opportunity to join them.
We are looking for a motivated, empathetic, resilient individual with excellent communication skills who has a passion for working with individuals with eating disorders to join our team covering Suffolk and will be based in Ipswich. This opportunity comes at a time of excitement as we are involved in the evolution of a pilot scheme involving the Virtually Intensive Treatment team and Intensive community support.
The Post holder will assess, clinically manage, co-ordinate care and treat adults with eating disorders. Working alongside other health care professionals including RMN's, RGN's, GP's, Dieticians and consultant Psychiatrists in order to support services users within their recovery.

Please note you will be required to travel to Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket intermittently.
Main duties of the job
You will be required to provide planned nursing care and risk assessment/ screening for patients within their care plan.Provide ongoing evaluation of patients' needs and identify suitability for potential discharge in conjunction through caseload management and supervision.
The successful candidate will have to initiate and attend patient centred reviews, case conferences and other meetings as required and be able to work within the multi-disciplinary team and to form working partnerships.
You will have ongoing responsibility for the review of a patient's care within the team setting and to prioritise and disseminate such information within the team.
We will need you to understand and work within the requirements of the Mental Health Act (1983) and to be able to effectively organise your working day, making the best use of time, geographical distances and resources.
Ensuring the best clinical practice, promoting the direct involvement of patients and carers in the development of their care plan is essential and to actively participate in training and education.
We also need the successful candidate to comply with all Trust policies, guidelines and protocols with particular regard to community services.
