The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Orlando

The role you’ll contribute: The Community Relations Coordinator will be responsible for handling various departmental functions in support of the Community Relations team. Responsible for AdventHealth leadership representation throughout the Central Florida community (CFD-South) by way of board memberships, event attendance, award recognitions and leadership programs. Collaboration within the Community Impact department and with other hospital departments is essential.

• Owner of board strategy for AdventHealth Orlando. This includes tracking board membership, checking in with board members to ensure they have the resources they need, and being a liaison between potential board members and nonprofit organizations.
• Maintains up-to-date records of nonprofit organizations in need of board members, and the type of representation they are seeking.
• Responsible for strategically filling seats and tickets for AdventHealth-sponsored community events such as galas, golf tournaments, races and more.
• Works to ensure that AdventHealth is appropriately represented in leadership programs throughout the region (Leadership Orlando, ATHENA, Political Leadership Institute, etc.)
• Accepts departmental nominations for these leadership programs and manages the selection committee for these opportunities.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Public Affairs, Communications, or related field
• Two years’ experience in Community Relations, the healthcare industry or a similar field
• Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Flexibility and ability to multi-task and meet immediate deadlines
