      Job summary

      Are you looking to progress your career? An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Community Mental Health Nurse with mental health experience in the Forest of Dean Recovery Team.

      We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our multi-disciplinary team. Applicants should have an interest in working with individuals who have severe and enduring mental health problems and are difficult to engage. The specific purpose is to deliver care in a collaborative manner that reflects the principles of Recovery focused working, particularly aspects relating to recovery and social inclusion.

      This is a part-time post. At band 5/6. With the opportunity for band 5s to progress to a band 6 via a competence frame work. We would also welcome applications from any student nurses who are in their 3rd and final year. Opportunity to undertake the preceptorship program, for newly qualified staff will also be available.

      The Forest of Dean Recovery Team provides comprehensive mental health and social care to working age adults in the locality.

      The team provides a planned (core hours 9-5) five days a service. The hours are 22.5 per week, 'Flexible' working arrangements will be considered. Any request will be set against genuine operational requirements and limitations and it is not obligatory for a manager to accede to the request.

      Main duties of the job

      This is an exciting opportunity for a community mental health nurse who has some experience of working with adults of Working Age and caring for individuals with Enduring Mental Health problems. The post will include care coordinating a designated caseload, working within CPA Policy and associated countywide risk procedures, travelling independently, use of IT skills and a working knowledge of legislation regarding safeguarding vulnerable adults, the MHA and MCA.
