The NHS England Long Term Plan acknowledges the requirement to provide quality and timely mental health care for everyone who needs it, and to tackle inequalities in access, experience and outcomes. For most people with mental health needs, the diagnosed problem isn't all they need or want help with. People have said they need mental health services that go beyond symptoms and illnesses; joined-up services that see a person rather than a diagnosis and that work together to promote their all-round well-being.
The Cheshire and Wirral Community Well-being Alliance are working together to transform community mental health services, providing holistic, person-centred care for people with mental health needs and to support people to live a full and meaningful life. We facilitate access to a combination of support, to provide the best chance to improve well-being and quality of life in the longer term. The vision is for individuals to be at the heart of all that we do, shaping care and opportunities around the needs of the community. About the company
National Health Service (NHS) is the umbrella term for the publicly-funded healthcare systems of the United Kingdom (UK). The founding principles were that services should be comprehensive, universal and free at the point of delivery—a health service based on clinical need, not ability to pay. Each service provides a comprehensive range of health services, free at the point of use for people ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom apart from dental treatment and optical care.
