Are you ready for a challenge?

If you have the appetite to work as part of a team that is setting out on this transformational journey, the skills required to meet the role of a senior nurse and want to play a part in our change story we would love to hear from you.

An exciting Band 7 Community Nurse Team Lead opportunity has arisen with us at Copeland ICC.

The successful candidate will work with our evolving Community Team, as part of the developing Integrated Care Community (ICC) you will be based at Flatt Walks Health Centre, Whitehaven.

There is an expectation that the successful candidate be enrolled to complete the Specialist Practitioner Qualification (if not already done so), within 18 months of starting the post.

      Main duties of the job

This role requires you to demonstrate the skills and knowledge to support the provision of high quality care, to support patients with complex needs within the community setting. The role will also require you to provide clinical leadership and operational management of the community nurse team along with the management of the clinical caseload for the team.

These new ways of working will follow the same approach across all eight ICCs with flexibility to tailor services to the needs of the local people.

We are able to provide an individually tailored preceptorship program to experienced nurses.

  • About the company

National Health Service (NHS) is the umbrella term for the publicly-funded healthcare systems of the United Kingdom (UK). The founding principles were that services should be comprehensive, universal and free at the point of delivery—a health service based on clinical need, not ability to pay. Each service provides a comprehensive range of health services, free at the point of use for people ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom apart from dental treatment and optical care.
