      POSITION SUMMARY:

      Will be the interface between Comanche Nation Prevention & Recovery/Reintegration's 988 Tribal Response Program and surrounding communities. Coordinator will be responsible for creating, delivering, and/or coordinating Mental Health awareness to youth, adults, families, caregivers, and communities. Will also provide general office support to include, but not limited to managing telecommunications, correspondences, queries, supply orders and other duties as assigned.

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Maintain confidentiality at all times
      • Maintain a positive, professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
      • Maintain a calm, composed, and competent demeanor in an emergency and/or crisis situation/demand.
      • Work effectively, efficiently and collaboratively with Comanche Nation Prevention & Recovery/Reintegration colleagues, colleagues of Comanche Nation and its entities, clients, prospective clients, tribal members and community members.
      • Will work with the Project Director to create, develop/coordinate, deliver and/or implement suicide awareness and prevention, culturally responsive trainings, trauma informed care and approaches, awareness campaigns to Tribal 988 crisis centers and other first responders, as well as, schools and communities.
      • Facilitate activities and classes, as well as, facilitate community outreach activities.
      • Be familiar with all client services within the department and Nation to provide information and/or assistance when needed.
      • As needed, will interpret & explain, in detail, the process, rights and eligibility to individuals seeking services.
      • Assist Project Director by maintaining proper data collection for reporting.
      • Transport, as needed and with safe driving practices, of clients.
      • General clerical/office duties such as managing telecommunications, filing, scanning, copying, typing and etc.
      • Maintain a confidential filing system in accordance with the Nation's record keeping policy and funding agency requirements
      • Other duties as assigned.

      REPORTS TO : Will report to Tribal 988 Project Director. No supervisory authority.

      PHYSICAL DEMANDS : Must be able to operate a motor vehicle, Hearing and vision in no1mal range, with or without corrections. Employee must be able to move and lift at least 5lbs.

      WORK ENVIRONMENT : Professional and confidential as majority of work will be in a standard office and facility setting. Occasional outreach activities and community events.

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Must be at least 21 years of age.

      • Communication, Written & Oral -Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
      • Computer/Printer Skills- Proficient in using computers, programs (Microsoft office), typing and operating standard office equipment
      • Customer Service- Ability to be courteous, patient, professional, helpful and etc.
      • Multitasking/time Management - Ability to complete multiple tasks given and complete within given deadlines.
      • Organizational Skills- Schedule appointments, if needed, give direction/information, and organization of area.
      • Initiative - Ability to take action.
      • Preferred, but not required, to obtain First Aid/CPR training
      • Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver's license and be insurable under the Nation's policy.
      • Must be willing to submit and pass a drug test,
      • Must be willing to submit to a background check.
      • Preference given to Comanche Tribal Members

      Education:

      • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, or closely related field.
      • Bachelor's degree may be substituted for the equivalence of minimum of two (2) years of work experience in substance abuse, criminal justice, or closely related field.
