- Must have a Bachelor’s degree.
- Must have two (2) years of related community outreach experience.
- May have an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in lieu of specific education and/or experience as stated above.
- Must have a Texas Class C Driver License and be insurable. Must have access to an automobile.
- Must have a basic knowledge of health care and community health concerns.
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of health care industry issues.
- Must be sensitive to social, cultural, political and legal issues regarding health system operations.
- Must be able to multi-task in both the office and outreach activities.
- Mush have demonstrable experience with using CRM (customer relationship management) software.
- Must have pc skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word software.
- Addresses requests from the community requesting speakers’ bureau volunteers for speaking engagements as well as Parkland participation in health fairs and community events.
- Maintains a database of community organizations and constituency groups who will serve to support Parkland and its initiatives. Integrates information obtained from partner organizations into database system in order to enhance operations.
- Maintains online community events calendar and identifies opportunities to further promote Parkland’s outreach efforts.
- Actively participates in community events and Parkland outreach activities.
- Contributes to the design and content of communications materials used for Parkland outreach activities.
- Coordinates community events and promotions that enhance Parkland’s visibility and supports its mission.
- Maintains effective working relationships with local community organizations and constituency groups.
- Identifies ways to improve work processes and improve customer satisfaction. Makes recommendations to supervisor, implements, and monitors results as appropriate in support of the overall goals of the department and Parkland.
- Stays abreast of the latest developments, advancements, and trends in the field by attending seminars/workshops, reading professional journals, actively participating in professional organizations, and/or maintaining certification or licensure. Integrates knowledge gained into current work practices.
- Maintains knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws and guidelines that impact the area. Develops effective internal controls designed to promote adherence with applicable laws, accreditation agency requirements, and federal, state, and private health plans. Seeks advice and guidance as needed to ensure proper understanding.

Primary Purpose
Responsible for successful coordination, implementation and documentation of Parkland's participation in outreach activities. This position focuses on event and outreach planning and communications in response to requests, scheduling volunteers and staff and managing materials and inventory.Minimum Specifications
