The Opportunity
Abt is conducting an evaluation study of phase 3 of Mother’s Outreach Network’s Mother Up Guaranteed Income Pilot (MON GI). MON GI will provide low-income D.C. resident mothers, whose child or children have been removed by CFSA, with monthly direct unconditional payments. The study evaluates the impact that cash payments have on child reunification and health and well-being over 3 years. Abt’s research will capture the experiences of the mothers in this pilot study while receiving these payments. The Community researcher will assist the project team in participant recruitment, conducting surveys and interviews with participants, and providing the research team support throughout the project.
