      Under the direct supervision of the Community Area Director, the Community Residence Coordinator (CRC) is a live-in professional responsible for building community and managing a living-learning environment within a residence hall complex accommodating approximately 320 students. This position involves regular interaction with residents to enhance their educational, social, and personal growth and helps create conditions within the residence halls that allow a diverse student population to learn and live in a comfortable and psychologically safe environment. The CRC plays a pivotal role in fostering student retention and satisfaction by hiring, training, and supervising approximately 18 Community Advisors. The CRC reports to the Community Area Director.


      Key Responsibilities:

      • Resident Support: Address resident concerns related to academic performance, interpersonal conflicts, roommate issues, and personal challenges.
      • Campus Life Contribution: Assist with campus-wide initiatives such as orientation, student leadership development, student mentoring government, and support for clubs and organizations.
      • Student Staff Support: Recruit, train, and supervise approximately 18 Community Advisors, ensuring their effectiveness in supporting residents and contributing to a positive living environment.
      • Program Advising: Manage program budgets and participate in various committees and departmental projects, including Community Advisors and professional staff selection and development, Community Engagement, Civic Engagement Collective, and Food Shelf support.

      On-Call Responsibilities: Serve in a rotating on-call capacity for residential students, providing 24/7 support for conduct and crisis management, including the summer months
