ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS1. Promote and help enforce established policies and procedures for special events and programs.
2. Help identify special event and program needs; help prepare and schedule special event and program activities; determine, gather, and prepare materials and equipment.
3. Conduct inventory and maintain and care for supplies and equipment.
4. Prepare facilities for special events and program operations. Perform facility clean-up after special events or program closing.
5. Inspect event facilities and program areas for safety hazards. Assists in minor maintenance assignments, as required, and report maintenance and safety hazards.
6. Help maintain participant attendance reports and other special event or program records.
7. Provide routine/procedural information to the public; direct people to the appropriate event or program location; assist other employees in the conduct of event or program activities.
8. Assists with desk reception, telephone support and related customer service activities. Accept registrations and collect fees as required. Enter and retrieve registration data on computer.
9. Interact with co-workers at all levels in the organization in a collaborative and customer service-oriented manner.
10. Maintain prompt and regular attendance.
11. Operates office equipment.
12. Assumes responsibility for ensuring the duties of the position are performed in a safe, efficient manner.
13. Performs other related duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND LICENSESAny combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities may be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Qualifications :
Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade is required with two (2) years of college course work at an accredited college being preferred. One (1) year of recreation programming or facility maintenance experience is preferred.
License/Certificate:
Possession of a valid Class “C” California driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
Possession of a Standard First Aid Certificate issued by the American Red Cross.
Possession of a CPR Certification.
