- A high school diploma, supplemented by four or more years of post-secondary education in a relevant discipline.
- Experience administering government-funded programs, including managing grant or contribution agreements, monitoring third-party compliance, and supporting funding accountability.
- Experience with system-level or strategic planning, including the use of tools like outcome mapping or collaborative planning frameworks in cross-sector environments.
- Strong skills in program evaluation and data-informed decision-making, including the development and use of KPIs, performance measurement frameworks, and the synthesis of qualitative and quantitative data.
- Demonstrated success in stakeholder engagement and collaborative project delivery, with the ability to build trust and foster strong working relationships across diverse partners.
- Proficiency in using technical software and client or case management systems; experience with data platforms or tools that support service delivery and performance tracking is an asset.

Our Community Social Development (CSD) team proactively works with a dedicated network of social service providers, community members, and all levels of government to enhance community health, safety, and overall wellbeing.
The CSD Specialist is a dynamic and flexible role within the CSD department, responsible for delivering a range of functions across grant management, third-party agreement oversight, community development, and strategy and/or system implementation. Depending on your assignment, you may coordinate competitive funding processes, monitor third-party service agreements, lead data reporting or evaluation initiatives, or support the use and maintenance of client information systems. You’ll collaborate with internal teams, service providers, and government partners to ensure compliance with funding directives, improve service quality, and inform evidence-based decisions. This role is ideal for a systems thinker with a commitment to public service and a passion for improving outcomes for Lethbridge residents.
WAGE: $45.42 per hour (rate under review)
HOURS: 7.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday, 37.5 Hours weekly
STATUS: Term Relief – Approximately 12 months. This is a grant funded position and is subject to the continued receipt of funding from other orders of government.
