Generally regarded internally as the “go-to” person on statutory records, director details and announcements and discretionary share plans, this person is pivotal in the successful running of our organisation.

      This role will provide company secretarial support to the Board and the Group. Specifically responsible for the management of all employee share plans.

      Essential Job Functions

      • Responsibility for global coordination and maintenance of statutory records and registers for UK subsidiaries; delegated authorities; together with filing of statutory forms and dormant company accounts for the Smith & Nephew group of companies

      • Supporting the Assistant Company Secretary in routine Shareholder and Share Plan tasks

      • Manage announcements relating to directors

      • Responsible for issuing close period notifications and tracking restricted persons, both in compliance with Market Abuse Regulation

      • Supporting on global training and awareness of governance matters

      Along with a variety of other important tasks that mean no two days are the same!

      Requirements

      • Qualified Company Secretary (ideally GRADCG) with vast experience within a large UK listed environment; experience of overseas listings and global corporate entities and restructures preferred

      • Microsoft Office conversant

      • Time management orientated

      • Excellent written and verbal communication
