      Position Summary/Job Duties:

My 78-year-old dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and could benefit from some regular social interaction. He’s been doing well physically—he enjoys walks, manages personal care independently, and is a kind and pleasant companion—though he does repeat questions and stories due to short-term memory loss. My mom passed away a year ago, and some friendly company would mean a lot to him.

I’m looking for someone to spend about 3 hours with him on either Saturday or Sunday (flexible on day and time). Activities could include:

      • Going out for ice cream
      • A trip to Farm & Fleet to pick up bird seed (he enjoys watching the birds at his feeders)
      • Cooking and sharing a hot meal
      • Taking a walk or bike ride (he lives near a beautiful bike trail)

His long-term memory remains strong, and he’s easy to be around. This would be a low-key but meaningful way to brighten his weekend.
