- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on industries, markets, clients, and competitors to support business development and strategic growth initiatives.
- Utilize external databases and internal systems to gather intelligence across practices, geographies, and sectors.
- Benchmark the firm’s performance against competitors and identify opportunities for differentiation.
- Support firmwide campaigns and strategic initiatives with tailored research and insights.
- Participate in testing and evaluating emerging research tools and legal technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data quality, accessibility, and reporting.
- Contribute to process improvements and help define best practices for the Competitive Intelligence function.
- Provide responsive, high-quality support to attorneys and stakeholders across the firm.
- Bachelor’s degree required (data science, economics, statistics, business or a related field preferred).
- Experience in data analysis and market research required. Experience in a professional services environment, especially a law firm, strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct proactive, independent research and synthesize complex findings.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present information clearly and persuasively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with advanced features like Power Query or macros is a plus.
- Knowledge of or interest in SQL and Python is a plus.
- A natural curiosity and collaborative spirit with a strong attention to detail.
