- Supervision and mentorship of colleagues, volunteers or students
- Post qualification experience of assessment and provision of complementary therapy to individuals with a range of physical and emotional needs
- Experience of identifying, assessing and managing risk
- Experience of evaluating therapy treatments and service provision
- Experience supporting children and families with life-limiting conditions
- Leadership or service development experience
- Diploma or degree in Complementary Therapy (with qualifications in at least two therapeutic techniques suitable for the client group).
- Registration with a relevant professional body (e.g., CNHC or FHT).
- Teaching qualification
- Additional therapy qualifications (e.g., infant massage, shiatsu)
- Palliative care or paediatric qualification

Helen & Douglas House, the UKs first childrens hospice, is looking for a passionate and experienced Complementary Therapist to lead and deliver holistic therapy services to children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families.

Main duties of the job
This is a unique opportunity to provide compassionate, child- and family-centered care within a supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our care service, you will design and deliver a range of complementary therapies ensuring they are safe, evidence-informed and tailored to individual needs.
