Job summary
Libertatem Healthcare Group is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Complex Care Assistant to support a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a school setting in Ilkley. The role involves providing tailored 1:1 care to help the child participate in daily activities, access learning, and stay safe and supported throughout the school day.
Main duties of the job
As a Complex Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting a child with SEN within the school setting. Your responsibilities will include providing tailored care and emotional support, assisting with physical and personal care requirements, escorting the child safely to and from school, monitoring and managing the child's medical needs, and communicating effectively with school staff, family, and the wider care team. You will be required to have experience or a willingness to be trained in tracheostomy care, oral and tracheal suctioning, enteral and PEG feeding, and oxygen therapy.
