- Well versed in filing procedures of federal, state, and local courts.
- Understands court rules and procedures, including familiarity with Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP) and state equivalents.
- Expertise to finalize substantive pleadings and discovery requests/responses.
- Substantively cite-check and format citations in accordance with Bluebook standard.
- Draft standard documents such as pro hac vice motions, proposed orders, notices of appearance, summonses, and affidavits of service.
- Coordinate service of complaints, discovery and subpoenas.
- Maintain electronic case files, including pleadings and discovery.
- Monitor dockets and calendar court appearances and deadlines.
- Assist with document review and manage productions using e-discovery software.
- Assist with depositions (including preparation and service of deposition notices and subpoenas, coordinating court reporters, and preparation of exhibits).
- Assist with trial logistics, trial preparation, and post-trial (including preparation of materials for trial, in-court assistance, and post-trial filings).
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, SharePoint, Case Notebook, Pacer Pro and Relativity.
- Maintain confidential information in a profession manner.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- Assist paralegal coordinator with staffing requests, distribution of workload and development of training programs.
- Set team priorities for filings and briefs to maximize efficiency, meet deadlines and anticipate requirements.
- Work with attorney team to formulate and implement discovery plans and communicate conflicts; act as lead during complex discovery projects.
- Train and mentor less experienced paralegals.
- Participate in recruiting efforts in screening and interviewing candidates.
- A minimum of 4 years of complex litigation experience, including service as the lead paralegal at complex trials.
- Understands and applies current information, technology, resources, methods and procedures necessary to perform assigned work.
- Accepts responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work; acknowledges and corrects mistakes; does not make excuses for errors or problems. Understands that one’s individual performance directly affects business results.
- Actively works with supervising attorneys to balance projects; and to identify and address conflicting project demands.

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university with strong academic record.

Job Description
The Complex Commercial Ligation Paralegal (CCL Paralegal) works closely with and provides support to the Firm on complex commercial litigation matters. The CCL Paralegal is responsible for the day-to-day management of litigation matters including assistance with pleadings, correspondence, document files and databases; and assistance with deposition logistics, hearing and trial preparation.Primary Responsibilities and/or Essential functions:

Estimated salary range is $80,000 - $90,000. Compensation decisions within the range are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case including but not limited to the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications.
