Job Description

- Lead internal ISO audits with the support of auditors.
- Maintain an active role in third party quality audits (ISO and customer)
- Conduct training and development of internal auditors.
- Research updates to any federal and/or state laws and be knowledgeable about any such changes and how it affects Prudent American along with helping to implement any company changes necessary as it pertains to these updates.
- Create and update policies according to necessary compliance implementations or changes.
- Participate and/or conduct onsite audits of A&D logs, NFA items, etc.
- Conduct training on compliance issues across the company.
- Submit licenses for various firearm functions across the company.
- Maintain records needed for compliance with regulations.
- Assist manufacturing associates in all aspects of compliance regulations.
- Maintain and file-controlled documents.
- Maintain all certs for raw material, anodize, and heat treatment.
- Create Certificate of Conformance document packages for customers.
- Email customers Certificate of Conformance packages for each shipment of product.
- Maintains measurement equipment calibration records.
- Maintains calibration requirements and request repairs when needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Extensive knowledge of ISO systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to serve as a liaison with third party auditors and customer auditors.
- At least 2 years’ experience logging firearms and checking serial numbers is a plus.
- Must be able to use Microsoft Office Suite and be able to quickly learn other software programs.
- Must be able to read, interpret, and teach firearms laws.
- Must have a basic knowledge of NFA paperwork, and state laws as it relates to firearms.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must have strong grammatical skills while being able to communicate well both written and verbally.
- Must be willing to travel on occasion.
- Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills as this role will interface with employees, management and government agencies.
- Maintain confidentiality in all matters of compliance.
- All other duties as assigned.
About the company
JOB PURPOSE
The Compliance Administrator will provide quality assurance support to the Quality Management System (QMS/ISO), as well as being responsible for helping ensure the company maintains compliance in all aspects of Federal Firearm Laws (FFL) as administered by the Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) administration.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in an operational warehouse environment, with some time spent in a typical office environment. Specific job assignments may require day, evening, weekend or holiday hours. Overtime may be required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Team members will have prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, but assignment may occasionally consist of standing, walking, carrying, pulling/pushing, bending, seeing, kneeling, stooping, reaching, hearing, as well as handling paperwork, and computer and phone usage. Team members will be lifting objects weighing 25 lbs. or less regularly.
