- Investigate the feasibility of potential inventions that typically are 4+ years prior to utilization on a product roadmap.
- Initiate and drive the design, development, execution and implementation of scientific and engineering research projects to fuel Intel's growth in the areas of technology development and manufacturing.
- Interact with colleagues involved in the fabrication line in order to integrate the many individual steps necessary for the manufacture of complex microprocessors.
- Collaborate with equipment suppliers to develop new equipment and unit processes necessary to implement Research and Development results into manufacturing.
- Participate in the transfer of viable technology options to the internal technology development team.
- Maintain substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories, and contribute to technical literature and conferences.
- Participate in development of intellectual property, often leading to patent applications.
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Device Physics, Materials Science or related discipline.
- Process research and development.
- Solid State Material and Semiconductor Device Physics, Digital and Analog Circuit Design and Analysis, CMOS Process Technology.
- Semiconductor device and interconnects fabrication, physical characterization, and data analysis.
- Electrical circuit design/debug/characterization.
- Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment such as oscilloscope, pulse generator, semiconductor parameter analyzer (CV-IV), and controlling software.
- Proficiency in design of experiment, statistical analysis methods and analysis software, such as JMP.

Research Engineers in Intel's Technology Development Component Research (TD CR) are responsible for leading innovative and rigorous Research and Development to define and enable future generations of process technology. Your primary responsibility will be to innovate in the area of Si process by inventing and demonstrating the feasibility of novel concepts and processes for devices and interconnects.
