      Position Overview:
      We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Composite Fabrication Technician to join our aerospace manufacturing team. This role focuses on the fabrication and assembly of composite parts and subassemblies using carbon fiber, fiberglass, and other lightweight materials, with a strong emphasis on Thermal Protection Systems (TPS). The ideal candidate will have a blend of mechanical and electrical skills and a keen eye for detail.
      Key Responsibilities:

      • Perform composite fabrication using hand lay-up and automated equipment.
      • Operate and set up automated lay-up machines.
      • Interpret and work from blueprints, engineering drawings, and nonconformance dispositions.
      • Fabricate and assemble composite parts using pre-manufactured materials and tooling.
      • Conduct sealing, wrapping, bonding, tying, and closure of wire harnesses and cables.
      • Perform basic organic chemical conversion and apply protective coatings.
      • Prepare test articles, fixtures, and data collection devices for testing.
      • Conduct visual inspections and quality checks on fabricated components.
      • Maintain a clean, organized, and FOD-free work area.
      • Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
      • Collaborate with team members across shifts to ensure continuity and quality.
      Must-Have Qualifications:
      • Active Secret Clearance
      • High school diploma or GED.
      • Minimum of 1 year of related experience in composite fabrication or aerospace manufacturing.
      • Mechanical skillset, including experience with torque wrenches.
      • Electrical skillset, including experience with adhesives and wire handling.
      • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
      • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

      Preferred Qualifications:
      • Experience with drilling and precision fabrication.
      • Background in painting or autobody work.
      • Familiarity with TPS (Thermal Protection Systems) materials and processes.
      • Experience working in aerospace or high-performance manufacturing environments.

      An ACTIVE U.S. Government Security Clearance is Required to be considered for this role.
