      Compression Molding Operator
      Pay Rate: $18.00 - $25.00/hr
      Hours: 10:30 pm to 7:00 am, Mon - Fri, and overtime opportunities for Friday. Must be able to train on 1st shift as required (6:30am-3:00pm) M-F
      Location: Onsite - Cleveland OH 44130
      Duration: 6 months

      Must have steel toes to start work, safety glasses and ear plugs are provided by company.

      Job Summary:

      The Compression Operator will perform tasks associated with the production of molded Thermoplastic and Thermoset materials used in the Aerospace and Industrial industries. The position is responsible for setting up all required mold tooling and material per work order instructions. The Compression Operator will run molding presses, tool handling equipment and forklifts to perform job duties independently and safely while maintaining quality of molding product.

      The Compression Molding Operator will need to adhere to strict work instructions while working in ~600 degree presses. The operator will take our raw material and place it in the press for specific time increments and then once complete remove the molded part from the press to the next operation.

      • Use safe practices and comply with all company policies, procedures and health, safety and environmental regulations, as required.
      • Conduct safety observations and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) activities as required by our plant EHS program. Handle raw material in an environmentally responsible manner.
      • Follow all safety requirements pertaining to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and operation of equipment.
      • Maintains work space before, during, and after each scheduled shift in accordance with 5S principles.
      • Complete all paperwork correctly, legibly and honestly.
      • Contribute towards continuous improvement processes and projects in the areas of output, quality, cost and delivery.
      • Ability escalate problems as they arise within the Compression department.
      • Perform visual inspections and identify non-conforming part and inform Cell Lead.
      • Knowledge of measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height stands, etc.
      • Ability to load material into the tooling, scrap/clean plates, demold parts, trim parts, load ovens, and finish parts autonomously.
      • Demonstrate basic blueprint reading.
      • Make quality parts that meet customer specifications and deadlines, with minimal scrap, in a fast paced work environment.
      • Contribute to team effort by performing other supporting tasks as directed by the Production Supervisor or Cell Lead.

      Qualifications:
      Must have steel toes to start work.
      • High School diploma, GED or equivalent is preferred
      • Computer and math skills and technical aptitude
      • Ability to stand for long periods of time
      • Ability to work in above ambient temperatures
      • Maintain high attendance standards
      • Ability to strictly adhere to written and verbal instructions
      • MUST HAVE 3+ years' experience operating Compression Molding machines
      Dupont molding experience is very similar to our operation.
