Analysis of public and internal single-cell RNA and ATAC-seq data to support specific therapeutic hypotheses
Support for gene and cell therapy projects in regenerative medicine, with a focus on transcription factor over-expression and regulatory element design
Research into the role of senescent cell populations in disease
The development of NMF-related tools (topic analysis) for understanding gene expression and regulatory changes between diseased and healthy cells
Evaluating mechanisms of epithelial repair in IBD/Ulcerative Colitis, COPD, and AMD
PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, or related field, or MSc with 3-5 years of experience.
Proficiency in R and Python and demonstrable experience in single-cell and genomic analyses
History of scientific publications
Previous experience with biology-focused computational analyses
Clear communication skills and a desire to work in a team environment
Machine learning experience is a plus

they need.The “Data and Analytics - Computational Science” section of Roche Informatics is looking for a computational biologist/bioinformatics scientist with strong prior experience in single-cell and genetics/genomics analysis to work with the Department of Regenerative Medicine (Immunology) in Genentech Research and Early Development (gRED). The focus of this position is support for the development of therapies aimed at treating inflammation-associated cellular damage and age-related diseases.
