  As a Project Luna Data Architect with the Project Management and Systems Engineering Division, you will be responsible for setting the strategy for data architecture, architecture execution, and providing technical architecture direction for delivery of the project's system target state. This includes developing and implementing data standards, policies, and procedures; designing and implementing data models; and providing architecture of the data warehouse and other data repositories.
  
  Duties
  
  
  • Set the strategy for data architecture and architecture execution, and provide technical architecture direction for delivery of the Project Luna’s system target state.
  • Develop and implement data standards, policies, and procedures as well as design and implement data models.
  • Design and implement system-wide data strategies, ensuring the strategy supports current and future needs.
  • Provide knowledge and guidance in the implementation and optimization of data governance solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data governance requirements, designing data governance solutions and assisting in the implementation and configuration of data governance through Luna tools.
  • Understand stakeholder objectives and create cloud-based solutions to facilitate those objectives.
  • Design, build and maintain cloud applications that support data handling functions.

  Qualifications
  
  
  In addition to the Basic Education Requirement (in the Education section below), to qualify for this position you must meet the requirements below. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
  
  NASA utilizes OPM-approved qualification and rating requirements specific for Aerospace Technology (AST) positions which recognizes NASA's unique aerospace work. The specific qualifications and minimum education requirements are further described below and within the education section of the job announcement.
  
  To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level:
  • Designing and implementing data governance frameworks and processes;
  • Supporting architecture development, design, and integration in complex data environments;
  • Utilizing data quality tools, techniques, and processes in metadata management and data lineage.
