- You will provide program management, engineering and logistics expertise.
- You will develop, plan, analyze, and execute projects across the full system life cycle.
- You will develop acquisition documentation, specifications, contract work statements, and logistics products for the design and development of Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch Systems (EMALS) and Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG).
- You will provide engineering and logistics services and advice to the Fleet in support of installation, certification, performance monitoring, and discrepancy resolution for EMALS and AAG.
- You will provide expertise, knowledge, support, and software process in software development, acquisition and in-service engineering of EMALS and AAG.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 within 12 months of appointment.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
You will serve as a Computer Engineer in the ALRE Department, Ford-Class Launch & Recovery Division of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing software in one or more of the following languages: C, C++, C#, PLC Ladder Logic, VHDL/Verilog; 2) Leading medium to large scale software projects or efforts; 3) Performing software development for complex real-time systems; 4) Developing software using Agile software development methodologies; 5) Adhering to and/or developing organizational standards and processes for software coding, software testing, and software configuration management for mission critical and/or safety critical systems; 6) Developing and maintaining software documentation to include software requirements, software design, software test, and software release; and 7) Developing comprehensive unit test suites and use of code coverage and analysis tools.
