  The Logic Technology Development (LTD) Device team within Intel is looking for a highly motivated Computer Vision Intern to join us in January 2024. This is an exciting opportunity that intersects across computer vision, data science and materials science. Your contributions will be some of the first in this interdisciplinary field. You will gain breadth as well as depth. You’ll be partnered with a mentor, and you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of process integrators, device physicists and materials scientists.

  Work Model:

  The internship is 100% remote, and it will span Spring and Summer of 2024. You will work a part-time schedule (20-32 hours per week) for Spring Semester, and you will work full-time (40 hours per week) during the Summer.

  What you’ll do:

  • Train state-of-the-art large language computer vision models.
  • Algorithms development in Python, C++ and CUDA.
  • Apply algorithms to materials science data.
  • Collaborate with scientists and engineers from various groups.
  • Learn about cutting-edge transistors technology.

  The ideal Intern may have some exposure or familiarity with the following:

  • Building convolutional networks for object detection.
  • Experience with relational databases
  • Experience with version control
  • Git experience
  • Keeping detailed notes of computer experiments
  • Understanding of design of experiments

  Qualifications:

  You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. The experience listed below may be obtained through schoolwork, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience. This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

  Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data science, or related discipline.
  • 1+ month(s) experience in OpenCV
  • 1+ year(s) experience Python
  • Willing to work a part-time schedule during the spring semester and full-time during the summer

  Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ months experience with C++
  • 6+ months hands-on experience with computer vision with emphasis on OpenCV for objection extraction

  Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in

  US, Colorado, New York, Washington, California:$40,000.00-$108,000.00

  S al ary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.

  Work Model for this Role

  This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
