      Hennepin County's Information Technology (IT) Department is seeking two Concierges to support our Staff Computer Support Centers. These positions will work with the IT Enterprise Service Desk to support our customers and will perform administrative work, be the first point of contact for customers, and support the department with handling multiple complex tasks simultaneously.

      Location and Hours:
      These positions will be located at one or more Staff Computer Support Centers across the county. Training will take place at the Government Center location.

      Locations include:
      • Brookdale Service Center, 6125 Shingle Creek Parkway, Brooklyn Center, MN 55430
      • Government Center, 300 South 6th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55415
      • Ridgedale Service Center Staff Computer Support Center, 12601 Ridgedale Drive, Minnetonka, MN 55305

      Work hours will be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the Government Center and Ridgedale Service Center. The Brookdale Service Center will be Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

      In these positions, you will:
      • Greet the customers and direct them to the analyst who will assist them with their service; assist the customer with a select number of services or inform the customer that service is delayed due to an appointment back-up within Staff Computer Support Center locations.
      • Assist with use of technology equipment within Collaborative Work Centers and other services such as mobile phone set up.
      • Manage the pick-up/drop-off of new and old technology equipment from employees; ensure equipment chain of custody remains across Hennepin County employees.
      • Conduct opening/closing procedures for Staff Computer Support Center such as turning on floor monitors, unlocking cabinets and computer racks, and ensure locations are tidy and clean.
      • Schedule appointments and manage the flow of the appointments for the day/week for Staff Computer Support Center locations.
      Need to have:
      • One of the following:
        • Two or more years of post-high school education.
        • An approved combination of post-high school education and related office clerical experience to equal at least two years.
        • Two or more years of related office clerical experience.
        • 18 months or more of related office clerical experience and completion of the Office Specialist Pathway Training program.
        • One year or more of related office clerical experience and completion of the Human Services Pathway Training program.
      • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift and stack up to 65 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
      Nice to have:
      • Experience:
        • Working with Microsoft Suite.
        • Providing customer service in person, on the phone, and by email.
        • Performing front desk duties.
        • Handling multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
