  AtkinsRéalis is looking to hire a Construction Estimator.

  Location – 415 Eastern Ave, Toronto, ON M4M 1B7

  Term - Permanent Position

  Weekly work hours – 40 hours

  Language – English

  Wage - CAD $71,000.00 – $85,000 CAD Annual

  Vacation - 15 Days per working year

  Your role within the team:

  • Prepare estimates of probable costs of materials, labour and equipment for construction projects based on contract bids, quotations, schematic drawings and specifications
  • Advise on tendering procedures, examine and analyze tenders, recommend tender awards and conduct negotiations
  • Establish and maintain tendering process and set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures
  • Prepare cost and expenditure statements and forecasts at regular intervals for the duration of a project
  • Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors
  • Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors, and prepare economic feasibility studies on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
  • Manage and coordinate construction projects and prepare construction progress schedules.
  • Overall understanding of project cost, schedule, estimating, progress measurement, and change management.
  • Good understanding of progress measurement metrics such as CPI/LPI/SPI

  The ideal candidate:

  • Completion of a three-year college program in civil or construction engineering technology or in a related field;
  • Minimum 1 - 2 years of experience in project controls focused on cost control, estimating, and scheduling;
  • English written and spoken.
  • Knowledge of P6, MS Project, Power BI, Heavybid, and JD Edward is an asset
  • Strong MS Excel and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to clearly and concisely convey recommendations to management / leadership
