Job Description

- Attend required training and certification classes.
- Prepares weekly reports, onsite inspection, facility inspection as needed, be on site daily, be visible to the contractor and GOAA.
- Try to anticipate the unforeseen, use your knowledge to control a possible bad situation. The contractors are working in an operational airport.
- Daily photos are used as a Photo documentary of the site with daily uploads to the GOAA “BOX”. Please follow the naming nomenclature.
- Attend weekly meetings.
- When incidents occur, get to the location as soon as possible, make sure contractor follow the correct protocol/ document.
- Performs related work as required or assigned.
- Plan, monitor, review and work with the contractors to minimize disruption to GOAA's Operation.
- Advises and practices and procedures, established guidelines, for completing job.
- High School Diploma
- 9 years of construction related experience
- 5 years of construction/buildings inspection experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and audiences that include but not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors and visitors
- Ability to lead, learn and apply knowledge of applicable local / state and federal codes, statues and guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a time conscious and time-effective manner.
- Perform physical inspection of variety of discipline activities which may include but not limited to concrete, buildings, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and HVAC.
- College Degree
- Knowledge and experience in airport operations and construction is preferred.
- Experience with APM's, airport construction, concrete, asphalt
- Five years’ experience working as an inspector, engineer, architect
- Certification by recognized authority is preferred
- Intermediate or expert computer and software skills to include use of Microsoft Office Suite and Windows.
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Ability to work well with others to include team members
- This position is subject to and contingent upon client approval of candidates put forth for consideration by WSP.
