Job Title: Construction Laborer

Job Description

The construction laborer will be responsible for monitoring hot work areas to detect and prevent any sparks, slag, or heat sources from starting a fire. They are required to remain on site for 30 minutes after completion of any welding or cutting operations to detect or extinguish potential smoldering.

Responsibilities

• Station near hot work areas to detect and prevent fires.
• Monitor for sparks, slag, and heat sources.
• Remain on site for 30 minutes post-welding or cutting to check for smoldering.
• Extinguish any potential fire risks.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in MIG welding techniques.
• Experience with MIG welder operations.

Work Environment

The position is based at Sam's Club, working night shifts from 9pm to 7am, Sunday through Thursday, with a 30-minute meal break. The environment requires adherence to safety protocols and involves working in a dynamic setting that might include exposure to various weather conditions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
