      Responsible for overall execution of a +$150M plant construction project in Clay County, FL supported by an experienced Engineering firm (E/P), key Subject Matter Experts (equipment, electrical, process, civil, reliability, safety, environmental, purchasing, and legal) and local support team (Project engineer, document control, admin support). This role reports to the Manufacturing Director overseeing the project.
      Key Responsibilities
      • Oversight of all aspects of site construction activities
      o Contractor safety management and auditing
      o Maintain construction and equipment installation schedule, cost forecast
      o Ensure contract scope is executed with precision using most current IFC documents
      o Ensure quality of work meets established standards
      o Manage communication and approval of contractor Engineering Change Notifications
      o Facilitate technical resolution between Contractors/ SMEs/ Engineers
      o Inspection, storage, and security of site equipment as it arrives
      o Manage/ elevate dispute resolution with contractor activities
      o Review and evaluate estimates
      • Administration
      o Establish site temporary PMO facilities and processes
      o Daily contractor status meeting update
      o Weekly progress report to Project Team
      o Manage Red-Line and As-Built markups through E/P & CM
      o Facilitate permitting with local/state/federal agencies; key Interface with utility providers (inspections, code interpretations, coordination of services)
      • Cost & Budget control
      o Track contractor progress vs forecasted schedule and cost
      • Manage Site Project staff
      o Project Engineer
      o Document Control Clerk (s)
      o Administrative Support
      Required experience
      • Minimum 15 yrs experience in managing major capital projects through construction and commissioning.
      • Demonstrated leadership of +$100M new building and equipment installations.
      • Engineering/Technical/ CM degree, or extensive experience managing major manufacturing capital projects.
      • Excellent communication/negotiation skills for positive dispute resolution, high level of interpersonal skills.
      • Ability to hold contractors firm to Engineering and Construction standards established by project deliverables, always protecting the owner’s interest.
      • Well organized with excellent written and oral communication skills with relentless tracking of schedule and cost progression.
      • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), AutoCAD, and Gantt charts.
      • Solid understanding of Critical Path and work progression of all trades throughout the entire project.
      • Ability to quickly recognize deviations and driven for quick resolution.
      • Ability to lead and facilitate constructability reviews of engineered designs.
      • Ability to anticipate and recognize issues impacting efficient/effective construction sequence.
      • Ability to set/adjust priorities in a rapidly changing environment.
