      $24/hour-$27/hour depending on experience level

      Position Summary:

      The Project Coordinator I is responsible for aiding in the coordination of the day-to-day project management activities throughout all phases of Sonic's Plant Construction projects, while promoting Sonic's core values of outstanding customer service, quality, security, and integrity.

      Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

      Full-time (40 hours per week), non-exempt position. This is a Hybrid or Fully remote role.

      Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

      To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.       • Proficient in Word, Excel, Adobe PDF, Outlook
      • Understanding of the construction project lifecycle related to utilities (pre-engineering, engineering, construction, post-construction)
      • Understanding of permitting processes for aerial and underground construction (including durations, extensions, traffic control requirements)
      • Knowledge of aerial and underground construction fundamentals and transition processes, emphasizing network continuity
      • Ability to interface with municipal departments to complete permit applications, coordinate inspections, and secure project approvals
      • Prepare purchase orders and monitor construction tracking
      • Prepare and track check requests
      • Deliver permit applications and fees to agencies to secure permits
      • Knowledge of State, Highway Department, Railway & Municipal permitting requirements
      • Learn and implement AT&T and PG&E paperwork processes and procedures
      • Assist with SOW document preparation
      • Assist with permitting processes, including pole owner attachments and AHJ permits
      • Compile and submit aerial permit applications
      • Schedule traffic control and parking signage
      • Monitor permit expiration dates and request extensions
      • Manage project closeout processes (file NOCs, As-Builts, permits, filings)
      • Review as-built drawings for billing verification
      • Create and send construction notices, coordinate setup for PBX, etc.
      • Coordinate with IT and Logistics for contractor badges and gear
      • Maintain project meeting minutes
      • Prepare map requests (ATT, GIS, Cable Pulls)
      • Manage JIRA workflows and upload project files to SharePoint or J drive

      Physical Demands:

      Constantly required to sit, type; occasionally stand, walk, handle objects, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear. Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required. Reasonable accommodations available.

      The Project Coordinator I must be able to drive a Sonic Company vehicle.
