Job Title: Project Manager

Job Description

Manages retail and restaurant projects, handling the overall client relationship from initial assessment through design concept presentations and final project delivery while ensuring a positive client experience. Works with design and technical teams to shape and understand project scope, presents and works with clients for approved projects, and establishes and ensures adherence to set budgets.

Responsibilities

• Manage retail and restaurant projects from initial client assessment to final delivery.
• Ensure positive client experience throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with design and technical teams to define project scope.
• Present and work with clients on approved projects.
• Establish and adhere to set project budgets.
• Inform Sr. PM or Project Director and/or client of potential budget variances and make appropriate modifications.
• Manage collections for assigned projects and inform Finance Manager of any issues with timely collections.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and potential clients.
• Assign tasks, oversee work, and provide feedback to staff assigned to the project.
• Manage and develop a team of 3 to 5 individuals.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of Construction Project Management experience.
• Experience in commercial projects, preferably retail/restaurant.
• Knowledge of project management software including Building Connected, Procore, and Microsoft Project.
• Experience writing and negotiating contracts for services, consultants, and contractors.
• Ability to communicate effectively and manage and lead team members internally and externally at all levels of staff.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in retail construction, commercial construction, construction management.

Work Environment

Onsite 5 days a week in a newly renovated office in North Chicago (near O'Hare), with about 10-15 employees. The office fosters a tight-knit culture and offers the opportunity to take on new roles and expand the business.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
