      What You'll Be Doing

      You’ll be joining CIBC’s Fixed Income & Repo Capital Markets Technology team. As a Consultant, Business Systems Analysis, you will be responsible for executing business analysis activities within a matrix organization in order to advance assigned business technology initiatives and ensure project success. You will act as a liaison between stakeholders by serving as single point of contact with respect to requirement expertise, requirement management process and will actively participate in all phases of a project life cycle. You’ll collaborate closely with subject matter experts and technology partners to capture and translate inputs and business logic into successful business outputs.

      How You'll Succeed

      • Understanding and documenting requirements - Work closely with business partners to gather complicated business requirements and facilitate solution design discussions to ensure you meet project needs. Create strong relationships, lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements.
      • Solution design - Assemble client-focused solutions that meet business requirements. Prepare and validate solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, and quality assurance.
      • Leading and mentoring – Support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert, and provide guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems.

      Who You Are

      • You can demonstrate experience with: 2-3 or more years of experience in a business systems analyst role handling user stories, requirements gathering & documentation, process & workflow analysis, solution design, and testing. MUST have previous Financial Institution experience supporting Capital Markets Sell-side Trading. From a technology perspective, you must have strong SQL, MS Excel, MS Visio, MS Powerpoint, and Jira/Confluence experience. It's an asset if you have Fixed Income REPO experience, coupled with: Apex, Finpro, and Bloomberg experience.
