      Job summary

      This is an exciting opportunity to join the Community Paediatric service hosted by Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and be part of the dynamic team providing the service to meet rising demand across the specialist teams. The successful candidate will work across Children Looked After service and Neurodevelopment and Neurodisability service.

      Main duties of the job

      The post holder will be clinically competent in meeting the health needs of Children Looked After, including those undergoing adoption as appropriate to role. The post holder with also be expected to be part of the clinical team who contribute as Medical advisor to the Adoption Panel

      The post holder should be competent in providing holistic support to children with complex disability including linking multidisciplinary team.

      The service does not contribute to Autism and ADHD assessments as the Neurodiversity assessment and support is hosted by an alternative provider locally (Humber Mental health Foundation Trust)

      There will be no on call commitments with this role

      Essential

      • oFull Registration with the GMC

      Qualifications and Training

      • MRCPCH(UK) or equivalent qualification
      • Valid APLS certificate
      • Valid level3 safeguarding training

      Desirable

      Clinical Experience

      • oIs able to demonstrate having achieved the competencies equivalent to the higher specialist paediatric training in Community paediatrics

      • oLevel 4 CLA competencies
      • oBe able to provide advice to local authority adoption and fostering panels
      • oAbility to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients
