Job summary
We are recruiting a Consultant to join our Gastroenterology Department at our site location of Yeovil District Hospital. Job responsibilities
Diagnosis and management of patients under the care of Gastroenterology/Hepatology at Yeovil District Hospital site, Somerset NHS Foundation Trust.
Continuing responsibility for care of patients in liaison with colleagues.
Respond to and manage referrals from other specialties.
Professional supervision, management and training of junior medical staff.
The appointee will be expected to be fully involved in the development of the specialty.
To ensure one's own clinical practice is monitored and performed in accordance with requirements from clinical governance.
To participate in pathology and MDT meetings.
To take part in the gastrointestinal bleeding on call rota of 1:8 non resident.
