      Job summary

      An opportunity has arisen as a Consultant Obstetrics & Gynaecology, 10 PA's.

      • Experience running urodynamics and urogynaecology clinics
      • Experience in practical procedures including: Cystoscopy/botox injection/ Bulkamid injection
      • MDT working

      In addition, to urogynae- there is the opportunity to undertake colposcopy.

      Main duties of the job

      The duties of the consultant in the hot week will include:

      o Supervise the day-to-day management of labour wardo Two labour ward rounds per dayo One maternity ward round a day (to review all antenatal patients and problematic post-natalpatientso One gynaecology ward round to review all patients admitted as an emergency and those ofColleagues in their absenceo Perform or supervise emergency gynaecological cases on the CEPOD lists.o Ensure there is sufficient handover between you and your consultant colleagues and theSenior resident doctors at the change of each shifto Be available for the resident doctors to discuss the management of patients attending theEPAU and the emergency gynaecology clinic

      • MRCOG or equivalent
      • Full doctors GMC registration with Licence to Practise
      • Two appropriate ATSMs or equivalent experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
      • Candidates should ideally be on the Specialist Register or be eligible to be on the specialist register within six months of the date of the Advisory Appointments Committee (AAC)

      Desirable

      • Experience in the following areas: oAdvanced Labour Ward Practice oBenign Gynaecology ATSM oColposcopy oBenign Abdominal Surgery ATSM oAdvanced Antenatal Practice or Maternal Medicine or Fetal oMedicine oUrogynaecology
