Job Description

- Advising customers on the improvement of business and maintenance processes through site assessments, reliability studies, FMEA projects, PM optimizations projects, etc.
- Support project delivery with the following activities:
- Serves as Reliability Lead on strategic accounts to position ABS Consulting Reliability Engineers to effectively complete assignments defined in SOWs. and to generate project work.
- Facilitate criticality ranking sessions
- Master Equipment List development
- Analysis of PM and reactive work order histories, repair and production data to identify high risk equipment and recommend mitigations strategies
- Facilitate or execute FMEA/RAGs
- Identify applications for PdM technologies
- Review, modify and create Bills of Material for identified equipment
- Identify Critical Spare Parts for inclusion in the BOMs and develop a stocking plan
- Lead instructor for EAM customer seminars
- Business Development by generating business intelligence while participating in ABS Consulting engagements. Expected outcome: business extension opportunities at existing customers
- Sales Closing Support through participation with the Sales/COE team to develop proposals, provide SME input during the sales cycle, and participate in customer visits to close business
- Provide the Sales/COE team with training on the ABS Consulting Reliability Solutions offerings.
- Support Sales /COE team for the introduction of ABS Consulting Reliability Services to new customers.
- Provide technical input for the development or improvement of the reliability services portfolio and the associated delivery standards.
- Writing and reviewing Statements of Work and Request for Proposals
- Support seminars and conferences with development and / or presentation of articles and white papers.
- Support the Sales/COE team by presenting and explaining the selected reliability solution to the customer.
- Recognized Subject Matter Expert in traditional RCM and modern day maintenance and reliability fundamentals
- Minimum 10 years experience in Plant Engineering & Maintenance
- Hands-on maintenance and engineering experience in a variety of industries
- Extensive experience preparing site assessments, FMEA reports and the ability to produce sample documents if requested
- Experience working with a CMMS package
- Previous maintenance and reliability consulting experience
- Tactical and strategic knowledge of the principles of preventive & predictive maintenance, reliability centered maintenance and equipment performance standards
- Strong track record of success with implementing a broad array of maintenance and reliability methodologies
- Ability to travel as required
- Effective collaboration style with strong communication skills
- Ability to publish technical articles to support the ABS Consulting brand
- Ability to create on-going business and develop lasting relationships with customers
- Ability to demonstrate ABS Consulting value added proposition to our customers
- Ability to obtain a working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management System.
The Principal Reliability Consultant is responsible for providing both tactical and strategic support for the continuing development and implementation of a standard methodology for Reliability Solutions for ABS Consulting and our customers. As a subject matter expert in modern day maintenance and reliability methodologies, the incumbent will support ABS Consulting resources to ensure that our projects are designed and executed in accordance with our standard framework of Reliability Solutions in a highly professional manner and in accordance with our Statements of Work.
