      The Opportunity

      As a Consultant, Visualization & Automation you will play a crucial role in transforming data into actionable insights that drive business decisions within our organization. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in data analysis, data warehousing, and BI tool implementation within the insurance industry, as well as opportunities for creating data automations to enhance efficiency.       The Team

      The Visualization & Automation team, as a part of the larger Business Intelligence organization, supports MassMutual Operations by providing internal business partners with information through an industry leading combination of visualization and business analytics. Plainly put, we help real people find meaning in their data to create positive impact. We accomplish this by utilizing cutting-edge business intelligence technology to blend massive amounts of data into digestible pieces of quality and actionable information, giving leaders everything they need to make tactical and strategic business decisions. MassMutual Operations is comprised of all service operations for our life & disability, annuity and long-term care businesses from New Business through Claims.

      The Impact

      We are seeking a skilled Consultant, Visualization & Automation to join our dynamic team and contribute to our data-driven decision-making processes. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

      • Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of BI solutions, including data extracts, dashboards, and reports for operational, analytical, and executive use cases.

      • Support the implementation and management of BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx, Vertica, Power BI) to create intuitive and insightful solutions.

      • Develop and optimize SQL queries for data analysis and reporting.

      • Actively participate in data profiling and testing of newly modeled database structures, as well as perform data validation and troubleshooting to ensure accuracy and reliability of BI products.

      • Collaborate with Internal Business Partners (IBPs) to understand their data needs and provide insights to support data-driven decision-making.

      • Participate as an active member of the Visualization and Automation team to achieve team and strategic organizational goals.

      • Work with various business partners to understand requirements and implement development through the development lifecycle.

      The Minimum Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree

      • 1+ years' experience in a development role using platforms such as Cognos, Qlik, Power BI, SSRS, Tableau

      • 1+ years developing solutions that create efficiencies or automation within an organization

      • 1+ years' experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Alteryx

      • 1+ years' experience with SQL and relational databases

      The Ideal Qualifications

      • Master’s degree in quantitative or analytical field

      • Experience with SQL and possess the ability to create complex queries

      • Exposure to data management and ETL concepts with a strong ability to manipulate data

      • Experience with creating self-service reporting models.

      • Foundational knowledge of MassMutual products and data.

      • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

      • Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and critical thinking to ensure data accuracy, report integrity, and error-free deliverables.

      • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.

      • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

      • Experience working in an Agile, team-oriented, and collaborative environment.

      Salary Range:

      $78,000.00-$102,400.00
