- Generating compelling and actionable insights for all stakeholders to help them understand consumer trends, shopping trends and customer behavior utilizing available data sources (including Loyalty Card, NielsenIQ, SymphonyAI and US Census data, SIRS quantitative data).
- Pulling & analyzing Loyalty Card shopping metrics (i.e. enrollment in various customer programs, customers’ primary locations, identification of new customers/customers who have left, etc.). Providing routine Loyalty Card reports highlighting trends in customer behavior; provides Loyalty Card analytics as required by Category Business Managers.
- Analyzing category and brand purchases to identify targeted marketing opportunities; analyzing brand interaction to determine which customers switch purchasing behavior based on price point, or type of promotion.
- Supporting Marketing in the development and implementation of marketing strategies and programs tied to Loyalty Cards.
- Building & maintaining customer segmentation models to establish targeted marketing plans aimed at strengthening customer relationships and increasing frequency and spend.
- Leveraging a full range of insight generating tools to foster a deeper understanding of consumers, customers and the broader marketplace to ensure that business strategies and decisions are grounded in relevant consumer insights.
- Performing complex analysis of customer behavior to uncover trends and quantify the impact of marketing and merchandising initiatives, with the objective of enhancing ROI.
- Serving as a consumer and customer insights resource to internal customers in marketing, merchandising and operations - seeking first to understand their business needs, and then designing analytics to address those needs.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to provide insights as part of the analytic process. Ability to integrate information from multiple data sources in order to identify opportunities and solve problems.
- Self-starter, detail oriented, highly organized, ability to multitask; ability to work in a fast paced, evolving role
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate and interact effectively and appropriately to a broad audience. Ability to explain technical information in a simple way that establishes rapport, persuades others and gains understanding.
- Exceptional computer skills (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, MicroStrategy, syndicated data tools (IRI and Nielsen), Internet, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business/Marketing or other related field. Knowledge gained through specialized training, experience in market research methodologies and additional job experience a plus.
- 3-5 years experience in statistics/marketing analytics or other related experience; knowledge of and experience using data platforms and visualization tools.
Salary: $62,684.00- $97,159.00

The Consumer Insights Analyst supports Marketing and multiple functions within Merchandising by providing actionable data-driven insights focused on the customer. It is a primary resource for Category Business Managers when they are developing customer centric strategies and tactics at the category level and for Category Analysts when there is a need to integrate customer insights into market, internal and supplier data.
Position can be located in either Buffalo or Schenectady, NY
