      This job is responsible for performing complex analysis and modeling to minimize loss exposure and negative impacts to the customer experience. Key responsibilities include utilizing a variety of systems such as Excel, SAS, SQL, Tableau, and other relational data bases to provide analytical support on strategies and ensure goals are met. Job expectations include evaluating data to assess potential fraud risk and create mitigation strategies.

      Job Description and Responsibilities:

      • Responsible for data requirements and the management of data that is provisioned and leveraged by our Strategy Decision Engine (SDE) and supports the existing data infrastructure leveraged by our Collections and Recovery area
      • Facilitates data requirement gathering with our business partners for all SDE initiatives
      • Partners with our technology area for data provisioning and ensures data requirements are fulfilled
      • Partners with technology data team to identify new data sources required to support initiatives and reviews data related changes that may impact our SDE platform
      • Responsible for data validation and certification of the data that includes providing line of business sign off to technology partners once data has been release
      • Review and validate transformation logic levered by our Strategy Decision Engine
      • Manages all changes in SAS Information Mapping Studio for SDE
      • Work with our technology partners on migrating our existing data infrastructure to the enterprise Strategic Data Platform (SDP)
      • Supports data management request to pull and provided data for our legal, risk, and control partners
      • May leverage business intelligence tools to build data control monitoring processes
      • Provides analytical support for multiple areas in Collections Services for data within the SDE platform
      • Supports achievement of business goals by gathering, extracting, validating, and provide complex analysis to support implementation of strategic plans, system enhancements, and control related items within SDE.
      • This position requires being the subject matter expert on multiple data points, data platforms, across multiple products
      • The position requires interaction with all areas of Collections and all levels of management to support the development, socialization, and process design for various initiatives

      Required Qualifications:

      • The candidate must be an intermediate level programmer in SAS, SQL, or other structure querying language equivalent
      • Possesses a fundamental understanding of databases and how to write scripts and run queries to validate data
      • Previous experience with Hadoop, SQL Server, Teradata, or Oracle data sources and knowledge of data source structures and data models

      Desired Qualifications:

      • Knowledge of Bank of America data sources, collection business products, operational processes, and understands how data is utilized for production segmentation processes
      • Project Management experience
      • SAS certification is a plus
      • Previous experience with any SAS decision engine products: SAS Marketing Automation (CI Studio), SAS Viya, SAS Engage Direct, SAS Intelligent Decision Engine, SAS Information map or comparable decision engines

      Pay and benefits information

      Pay range

      $70,000.00 - $99,800.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

      Discretionary incentive eligible

      This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
