Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for administrator to assist our growing Primary Care, Community & Therapies Clinical Group which provides both inpatient, outpatient and community therapies and nursing in providing an effective and efficient comprehensive administrative service including the production of clinical correspondence to referring agents or onward referral service to support the work of the Clinical Staff within the Group.
Experience of typing correspondence, managing clinical diaries and referral management according to the guidelines is desirable. You will be expected to provide a full centralised automated appointment system by undertaking duties within the community and therapies single point of access centres.
Main duties of the job
There will be a requirement to learn the patient administration systems to work effectively within a paperless environment.
This is a part time role of 15 hours a week, working Thursday - Friday. You will be expected to participate in the 3 shift pattern to provide administrative, working 08:00 - 16:00, 09.00 - 17.00 or 10.00 - 18.00 on a rota basis along with weekend working to facilitate 7 day working and bank holidays as and when required. This position requires on-site working.
The successful candidate will enhance our team by having the following experience and qualities;
GCE/GCSE English & Maths at Grade C or equivalent qualification
Excellent communication skills to deal with patients, colleagues and referring agents
Ability to prioritise own work and work under pressure with conflicting demands
Able to work well as part of a team
