What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide coding and industry expertise to help create and maintain clinical coding edits
- Assist with research to identify opportunities for new medical policies
- Work with QA to create and execute test cases to validate changes in policy
- Assist in creating and maintaining documentation for the medical policy library
- Maintain current knowledge-base of industry and content best practices
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree or 4 years equivalent experience
- CPC or equivalent coding certification required if no degree
- Additional 2 years clinical coding experience, preferably in a payer setting
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to analyze complex data and synthesize it for customer and internal consumption
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in internet-based research related to codes (CPT, HCPCS, ICD, or NDC)
- Familiarity with claims payment and reimbursement methodologies
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
