Deeply understand our customers and users and be their champion
Rewrite existing UX copy to improve engagement, retention, or conversion
Providing new UX copy for new features and products
Write micro-copy for buttons, error messages, menus and more to ensure all actions are clear, concise, and uniformed across Web and Mobile
Providing ideas and insights for App tone of voice and messaging
Analyze consumer behavior to gain user insights and identify opportunities to optimize usability
Partner closely with product and engineering and contribute to the product vision
Effectively communicate conceptual ideas and design rationale

Job Description
Experience Designers at U.S. Bank are customer obsessed in developing human-centered experiences that provide personalized, clear, helpful, and inclusive digital plus human solutions for our customers. Experience designers consider the why, what, and how of product use to help identify where user needs intersect with business goals across the entire user journey. Leverages human-centered design methods (design-thinking, service design, research/insights, etc.) to plan, create, and present persuasive, engaging, and strategic ideas that influence product roadmaps and demonstrate a solution's potential for success. Performs competitive analysis of direct/indirect competitors and monitors the marketplace for new trends to inform the research and design process.
Responsibilities
Responsible for leading and collaborating with other User Experience disciplines (Project Management Office, Research & Testing, Interaction Design, and Visual Design) to identify and execute against both the strategic and tactical content needs for various projects on multiple, interactive platforms. Provides training and guidance to content developers and stakeholders to improve understanding of and promote adoption of the content strategy model. Produces and monitors online content strategies, including voice and tone, customer and business-centric site goals, and identification and prioritization of site content. Evaluates and promotes methods to improve content lifecycle process. Analyzes, recommends and implements practices to increase efficiency and effectiveness of content development and production methods. Produces and/or supervises the creation of all deliverables (content inventories, audits, competitive reviews, content strategy briefs, content work plans, content matrices, copy documents, and optimization/lifecycle plans), as required on a project-by-project basis.
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically three to five years of relevant experience
- Proficient product management, product and experience design or similar experience
- Effective presentation, verbal and written communication skillsAdditional Competencies
- Portfolio of work, ranging from high-level branding and conceptual videos to executional samples, such as social media copy, emails, infographics, articles, etc. (provide portfolio password, if required)
- SaaS, B2B, B2C, or platform experience
- Experience as a content writer for web, mobile, responsive, or emerging platforms
- Previous experience writing complex, multi-functional, large-scale applications
- Storyteller with the ability to listen, present, and sell through empathetic content
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate processes, ideas, rationale, and solutions to teams and stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented, user-centric mindset able to deconstruct complex issues
- Experience with receiving and implementing feedback and constructive criticism
- Familiar with tight deadlines, changing priorities, and multidisciplinary challenges
- Focused on research and data-driven recommendations
- Proven experience for consumer-focused products in FinTech is a plus

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
