      Department Overview:

      As a member of the UW-Madison Interprofessional Continuing Education Partnership (ICEP), the School of Medicine and Public Health Office of Continuing Professional Develop (OCDP) delivers accredited continuing education planned by, for, and with the healthcare team. OCPD works in collaboration with SMPH departments, UW Health, the School of Nursing, the School of Pharmacy, professional associations, and other community-based organizations that fall within the scope of the ICEP mission.

      Schedule:

      When you work with the OCPD, you can create your own work schedule to ensure you can balance your schooling priorities with work. In most cases, we ask that you work between regular office hours of 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday-Friday, though there is flexibility based on faculty/staff needs and student schedules. The position will require weekly check-ins with the OCPD team and regular check-ins with project managers, faculty, and staff (in-person or virtual), otherwise many of the required duties can be done remotely.

      Salary/Wage Range/Lump Sum:

      $17.00 - $20.00

      Qualifications:

      Required Skills
      1. Experience and competence using Learning Management Systems, Adobe Premiere, Articulate, UW Box, Webex/Zoom/Teams, Kaltura Mediaspace, Microsoft Office (including Excel) and Google suite of tools
      2. Ability to rapidly learn other technology platforms in support of educational programs
      3. Maturity and ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds
      4. Strong attention to detail
      5. Ability to organize time and set priorities
      6. Excellent oral and written communication skills
      7. Ability to work productively both collaboratively and independently
      8. Positive attitude and willingness to learn new tasks

      Preferred Skills/Interests
      1. Interest in and knowledge of health care, asynchronous instructional design, project management
      2. Able to learn quickly, follows instructions, and is detail-oriented.
      3. Flexibility and sense of humor

      Position Summary/Job Duties:

      Assist OCPD staff with:
      - Online learning platform technology (ICEP Learning Portal https://ce.icep.wisc.edu)
      - Reviewing, editing, and publishing recorded live lectures using Adobe Premiere and Kaltura Mediaspace
      - Design components of asynchronous learning activities using Articulate

      Assist OGH faculty and staff with:
      - Building online learning tools such as evaluations and assessments using the ICEP Learning Portal.
      - Create promotional materials using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop,
      - Use Generative AI, ChatGPT, etc. to address continuing education inquiries.
      - Managing the development and implementation of assigned educational projects.
      - Provide support occasionally at live, in-person conferences held in the Madison area.
      Participate in job-appropriate training and self-study to acquire new or to improve skills (e.g. ICEP Learning Portal, Accredited Continuing Education Compliance, adult learning principles, data analysis)
